...Kristen Alyce
Artist, photographer & designer Kristen Alyce set sights on South Florida from her hometown of Butler, New Jersey in 2005. Since then, she has exploded on the art & style scene. The opportunity to work under New York Couture Fashion Week producer, Andres Aquino gave her just the inspiration she needed. Following in Aquino’s footsteps, Alyce has produced similar eclectic art & fashion events in South Florida, New York, and New Jersey. Such events include: the World Vision Benefit (2005), Lord & Taylor Fashion Show (2007), Portada Magazine fashion show (2008), Make a Wish Benefit (2008) and the first ever Garbage Gone Glam runway show (2009). Since then she has participated in multiple sustainable events all over South Florida and produced many of her own events. .
Alyce has a passion for creativity. Since her debut of Garbage Gone Glam on October 3, 2009 her line of clothing, entirely composed of recycled materials, has been sparking interest all over the state of Florida. The organization
continues to grow as the word spreads about Alyce’s concept and passion behind what she does.
While many major fashion events influence her career, Alyce is primarily motivated by the outreach her shows produce. She always aspires for her dresses inspire someone else to make a little change for the environment. She wants the power of style and art to go beyond enhancing the fashion world with recognition. With events that give to the community, by endorsing the Green Movement or helping people in need, Alyce believes fashion can serve a better purpose- to make the world a better place, both inside and out.
